So what’s the best PCOS diet – keto, plant-based, low carb, no carb, gluten free, etc? Hint: there is no one best diet. I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Amy Medling, the PCOS Diva on her
podcast on a subject that is near and dear to my heart – why there is no ONE best diet for PCOS. I’m so tired of hearing of all the foods you supposedly need to avoid if you have PCOS. So I jumped at the chance to be interviewed by Amy on her podcast titled “Find YOUR Best Diet for PCOS.” We take a deeper dive into this subject, dispel some myths and more importantly, give nutrition tips that can help you find the best PCOS diet for you.
Here are some of the things we discuss:
-4 things just as (or more) important than diet
– Role of the gut microbiome & why it may dictate your diet
-Tips and tricks to figure out what works best for you
-Exercise that we all need to do
Here’s my quote
“Do your own research. Don’t get overwhelmed, don’t feel like you have to take 20 supplements, and you have to follow all these rigid plans. Just take it a step at a time, set some goals for yourself. It needs to be the big picture, not just nutrition, but also exercise, sleep, stress management, and emotional health.” – Martha McKittrick
