MY CORE VALUES

First and foremost

one-size does NOT fit all

We have different metabolisms, genetics, lifestyles, activity levels, even gut microbiomes!

if your not getting the results you want

try something else

What works for someone else may not work for you.  Keep your mind and your options open.

diets don’t work

behavior changes are the key

My mantra is to focus on making small changes. We’re not aiming for perfection here! Change usually happens in small steps.

it’s a mindset shift

Focus on Adding in Foods Rather than Restricting

Adding the right nutrients can have a powerful impact on your health - from lowering cholesterol and blood sugar to supporting weight loss, energy, and long-term wellness

MY STORY

Who I Am

Hi, I’m Martha! I’m a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist with over 20 years of experience—and I’ve worn many hats in the nutrition world.

Originally from Massachusetts, I earned my degree in nutrition from the University of Massachusetts and completed my dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. I began my career as a hospital dietitian before expanding into health clubs, wellness programs, and corporate nutrition. Along the way, I wrote a book on Type 2 diabetes and have presented on topics including metabolic health, PCOS, and heart health. Fifteen years ago, I launched my private practice, Martha McKittrick Nutrition, to help clients create lasting, realistic changes in their health.

My Approach

Like many of my clients, I juggle a busy life. I know what it’s like to grab food on the go, struggle to get enough sleep, and manage stress while trying to stay healthy. That’s why I focus on practical strategies that fit into real life—not rigid rules or fad diets. My goals? To help you feel your best without giving up the foods you love and to make it as easy as possible!

Why I Do What I Do

I’ve seen firsthand how confusing nutrition advice can be—one day carbs are the enemy, the next day fat is. Should you do intermittent fasting or avoid seed oils?  My mission is to cut through the noise and help you make sense of it all. I love teaching clients about their specific needs and showing them how small, sustainable changes can lead to big results.

What I Specialize In

Over the years, I’ve worked with clients facing a wide range of health challenges. While no two people are the same, these are the areas I’m most passionate about—and where I’ve seen clients make the biggest transformations with the right guidance.

Each person has their own health goals, lifestyle, lab results, health conditions, food preferences, metabolism—even their gut microbiome. That’s why every plan I create is fully tailored to the individual.
